Kindness is a language

Trustees

Our three-member Trustees Team manages the church’s business affairs. It operates through three subcommittees:

House Committee

  • Oversees custodial care.

  • Maintains church buildings and grounds, parsonage, and other properties.

Besides hiring professional contractors for these activities, the trustees solicit help from members and friends. Each spring and fall, parishioners gather after a Sunday service to rake leaves, wash windows, and do other seasonal chores.

Personnel Committee

  • Prepares job descriptions.

  • Writes employment contracts.

  • Conducts performance evaluations.

(The trustees do not directly supervise paid employees, but act as advisers to the pastor.)

Finance Committee

  • Monitors the church's financial status.

  • Oversees payment of bills.

  • Recommends adjustments in spending.

  • Manages the church’s investments.

  • With the help of the Stewardship Team, drafts an annual budget for member approval.
