About Me and King Street
Church |
|
I joined the King Street family
in early 1999, when I was a freshman in college and
learned that the church needed an organist. After
auditioning with music director Diane Cook, I was offered
the position of organist and piano accompanist.
King Street was my career during my college years. Every
Thursday after soccer practice, I drove from Westchester
to Danbury for choir rehearsal; and every Saturday after
soccer games, I drove home to Bridgewater to see my
parents and attend worship on Sunday morning.
Before coming to King Street I emphasized piano solo, but
it was such a joy to work on sacred choral music with
Diane and her singers that I fell in love with
accompanying the choirs. This was a primary factor in my
decision to pursue degrees in both performance and
accompaniment.
I accepted the position of Music Director a few years ago.
King Street has been such an integral part of my life, it
would be hard to imagine life without it. I have had the
pleasure of meeting and working with so many wonderful
people, and I hope to call King Street my home for many
years to come.
